While a conspiracy theorist could make a decent case that H&M did this intentionally as a means to attract publicity (even negative publicity) and then feigned “surprise” and “shock” when it was revealed, it’s more likely that disconnected thinking and a fair amount of laziness was the real reason for this damaging ad campaign to have occurred.
